First Night Buttons & Admission

A single button grants attendees access to every performance and venue throughout the festival. Below is the official information regarding button categories, pricing tiers, discount programs, box office operations, and admission verification guidelines.

The easiest and most economical way to enjoy First Night Northampton is to purchase your First Night button online.

Card to Culture Program (EBT / MassHealth)

Free buttons are available for eligible cardholders through the Card to Culture program:

• In-Person: Visit any authorized button vendor and show your active EBT or MassHealth card.

• Online: Enter promo code Card2Culture during checkout.

Attendees who purchased buttons online must pick them up at either of the following locations:

• Main Box Office: Thornes Marketplace, 2nd Floor (150 Main Street)

• Academy of Music Theatre: Venue Box Office

• Hours: Open until 9:00 PM on December 31

Important Entry & Verification Guidelines

• Entry Verification: Ensure every individual entering a venue is visibly wearing an appropriate, valid button for that time slot. In select cases, a valid digital confirmation/e-ticket or purchase receipt may be accepted.

• Buy Before You Enter: Buttons are sold strictly at designated box office and satellite retail locations; they are not sold at venue doors except the Academy of Music Theatre, 33 Hawley Street, and the Northampton Senior Center. Remind attendees waiting in line that they must have a button prior to entering the venue.
